The magenta plastic petals in this brooch came from a shampoo bottle. Petal shapes were cut and attached to a copper dome that is colored yellow with Prismacolor pencils. I didn't want the petals to be lost to the background, so I attached yellow beads to each petal tip with a tiny black crystal on each point. In the center of the dome, more beads were attached in shapes of orange and yellow. The backing is sterling silver supporting the colored dome and the brooch mechanism. Single-use plastic made beautiful.
